"The way Tamara approaches my body when I am experiencing pain from Osteo arthritis is remarkable. I always leave the studio feeling good in my mind and body; relaxed, less discomfort, and with a series of movements to assist me while at home. "
-Linda C. Seattle, Wa
"After seeing Tamara for an evaluation last June, She saved me from a lot of chronic pain and frequent injuries that I have lived with my entire life. She helped me understand what my body needed to feel more balanced and healthy."

Offering yoga therapy is my dream job. I love helping people experience the wholeness that can be felt through yoga and mindfulness practices. Adding integral sound therapy to my offerings is a natural fit and I look forward to helping people experience relaxation and profound healing with this experience.
Personal injuries and a stressful career lead me to the need for change. That transformation came through yoga therapy. Soon after my healing began, I saw the opportunity to use everything I had learned to help others suffering from these modern-day afflictions. BendnMove was created to assist people with living a fuller life grounded in mental and physical health and happiness.
I am certified through the International Association of yoga Therapists, International Buteyko Clinic, and the Yoga Alliance. I am also a certified integral sound therapist through the Sound Healing Academy.

What is the difference between a yoga teacher and a yoga therapist?
The education and skills required to work as a yoga therapist surpass those of the average yoga teacher, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology and psycho-spirituality from both the eastern and western traditions. Yoga therapy is a highly personalized experience that focuses on your specific condition and needs. It offers a means for safe, personal healing to people living with chronic pain or illness. You can expect a tailored program unique to you that incorporates breath, movement and meditation. Individual yoga therapy is ideal for those with special needs or conditions, who prefer a slower-paced program and a one-on-one setting. Does yoga therapy replace other healing modalities?
Yoga therapy is leading edge and uses yoga as a complementary treatment to traditional medical healing practices. Based on on-going treatment studies, these weekly sessions are ideal for those with chronic lower back pain, neck pain and auto-immune disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, among many chronic conditions.
What can I expect from participating in yoga therapy?
Attending one or more sessions of yoga therapy can help you with balance, flexibility, and management of other imbalances like osteoporosis, chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, and other conditions.
